Summary

As the economic downturn impacts the cultural arts sector, community artists and arts organizations face increased strain on already limited resources.  Government funding is decreasing, foundations are narrowing their focus, corporations are changing their priorities, and arts organizations are suffering in the balance.  How is this effecting our local arts institutions? What can we do about it?

Join your fellow leaders of cultural organizations of color in a full day symposium that offers an unique opportunity to learn critical fundraising skills, hear successful cases, seek advice from a spectrum of top arts administrators, and let your voice be heard.  Get advice from amazing arts figures such as Dr. Marta Moreno Vega, President of the Caribbean Cultural Center and member of the New York State Council on the Arts, Pam Green, Executive Director of the Weeksville Heritage Center and Lillian Cho, Executive Director of the Asian American Arts Alliance.  See the full symposium program below.
